LAST WEEK OF TEACHING PRACTICE
Reflecting on My Final Week of Teaching Practice
This week wrapped up my teaching practice, and it was both fulfilling and insightful.
In 8G, I had the opportunity to teach a lesson on accidents and road safety. I aimed to make the topic engaging by incorporating real-life scenarios and interactive discussions. We talked about common causes of road accidents, the importance of following traffic rules, and ways to enhance safety for both pedestrians and drivers. The students were actively involved, sharing their personal experiences and brainstorming improvements for road safety in our community.
With 8E, I explored the world of atoms and molecules. We started with the basics of atomic theory and then moved on to hands-on activities where students constructed molecular models using ball-and-stick kits. This approach helped them better understand the structure of different molecules. I also connected the concept to their everyday lives, which made the topic more relatable and interesting.
Additionally, I conducted a remedial session focused on the concept of mass. This was an opportunity to revisit and reinforce the fundamentals for students who needed extra support. We reviewed definitions, units, and measurement techniques, using practical examples to enhance understanding. It was rewarding to see the students improve their grasp of the concept and gain confidence in dealing with mass-related problems.
Overall, my final week was a great conclusion to my teaching practice. The students' enthusiasm and engagement were highlights, and it was gratifying to see their progress. This experience has been invaluable in developing my teaching skills and deepening my commitment to education.
