First Week of Teaching Practice: Setting the Stage This week marked the beginning of my teaching practice, and though I only had one class each with 8E and 8G, it was an important start. I introduced myself to the students, and I must say, their reactions were quite varied. Some seemed curious, others a bit shy, but overall, they appeared eager to learn. Classroom Environment Walking into the classrooms for the first time, I took note of the setup and the seating arrangements. The classrooms are well-organized, with students seated in a manner that facilitates interaction and engagement. The learning environment at the school seems positive and supportive, which is encouraging. Preparation for Teaching Even though I haven’t taught a full lesson yet, I’ve been busy preparing for the upcoming sessions. I’m gathering materials and resources that will help make the lessons engaging and informative. I’m excited to use activity cards and graph paper exercises to make the topics more interact...
Reflecting on My Final Week of Teaching Practice This week wrapped up my teaching practice, and it was both fulfilling and insightful. In 8G, I had the opportunity to teach a lesson on accidents and road safety. I aimed to make the topic engaging by incorporating real-life scenarios and interactive discussions. We talked about common causes of road accidents, the importance of following traffic rules, and ways to enhance safety for both pedestrians and drivers. The students were actively involved, sharing their personal experiences and brainstorming improvements for road safety in our community. With 8E, I explored the world of atoms and molecules. We started with the basics of atomic theory and then moved on to hands-on activities where students constructed molecular models using ball-and-stick kits. This approach helped them better understand the structure of different molecules. I also connected the concept to their everyday lives, which made the topic more relatable and interesting...
